sydney is such a beautiful city to live in with a child. except when it rains. then i hate sydney.

most of our activities are dependent on non-raining weather, and when it does rain, like today, its always a challenge to invent the afternoon (or morning) activity. i'm always asking my friends what they do with their boys on rainy days, hoping someone might pass on a great tip.

well, heres mine. go to your local non-designery toy shop. pay $1.70 for a red helium balloon on a string. play with it on the street for 20 minutes. then in the car, up the stairs and in the apartment for much of the afternoon. then your partner gets into the action, suspending different playdough blobs on the string. all that, and we haven't even started drawing faces on it yet....
